Music is and always has been my lifeblood.
My childhood home was full of it from wall to wall; I was lucky enough to have parents who lullabied me to sleep singing the words of Leonard Cohen and Ella Fitzgerald and countless other Greats. Music was not only something to enjoy, but in my multicultural household it was a reflection and exploration of history, culture, languages, and experiences, collective and singular. I was drawn to music wherever it existed: school plays, live musicals and jazz clubs, songwriting workshops, concert halls, classical guitar festivals and masterclasses at the local college. In 2021, my pursuit of music brought me to Boston, where I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor’s in Professional Music and Songwriting.
In Boston, I was presented with opportunities to perform around every corner; notable performances include opening for John Raymond & S. Carey (of Bon Iver), opening for Molly Lewis (Barbie Movie, Crushed Velvet), supporting award-winning Jazz vocalist Greta Matassa (Seattle), and playing various shows across Boston venues (The Lilypad, Bill’s Bar, The Red Room, Cantab Underground, and more.)
I strive to draw my audiences in through my lyrics and intimate style of songwriting; if I can get through to just one person, make one listener feel understood or seen through song, then I consider myself successful. To have somebody say to me, "That's how I feel and you've put it into words." If I can do that, I will consider myself as having done my job. I've been lucky enough to work with some of the most talented and creative musicians in today's industry; alongside Danish producer-engineer Liva Hampen, I'm in the process of recording and releasing my first album. And, in most recent news, I was fortunate to have 4-time Grammy Award winner Larry Klein produce my upcoming single, "When You Close Your Eyes." My debut single, "Break My Fall," came out in the spring of 2025, and in late 2021 my song "Gone" received an (albeit brief) mention in an article by American Songwriter.
My album, “Songs For Lena”, is scheduled for release in 2026.
